Maui Makers is a community workshop — a shared shop where people gather to build, invent, fix, and learn with tools most of us don't have room for at home. You don't need any special skills to join, just enthusiasm and a desire to actively participate.
We make anything, from anything. A CNC machine and a 3D printer sit a few feet from hand planes and a wood lathe — high-tech and old-school side by side, because making isn't about the tool, it's about turning an idea into something real.

Do I need experience to join Maui Makers?
No. You don't need any special skills — just enthusiasm and a desire to actively participate. Maui Makers is a community shop where members learn from each other, so beginners are welcome alongside experienced makers.

Roughly $100,000 of tools across seven craft zones: a wood shop (lathes, bandsaw, table saw, compound miter saw, sanders, hand planes, full dust collection), plus metal, electronics, 3D printing, CNC, glass, and jewelry areas — high-tech and old-school tools side by side.
How much does a Maui Makers membership cost?
Memberships are monthly: Day Pass is $25/month (4 day passes), Family is $100/month (covers up to 2 people), and Pro is $250/month for professionals and heavier use. A Storage Shed add-on is $100/month. Stay 6 consecutive months on any membership and earn a $100 credit toward an annual membership.

What are Maui Makers' hours?
The shop is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Do I need to sign a waiver before using the shop?
Yes. A signed liability waiver is required before shop access. It's sent to you as soon as you sign up, so you can complete it before your first visit.
Is Maui Makers a nonprofit?
Yes. Maui Makers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2010. It's all-volunteer, and its equipment is donated.
